Headmaster’s December Letter
Dear T-D Family:
New students continue to find T-D as their new home. Enzo Maldonado, from Hartsdale, joins grade 8 on Wednesday and Jack Hutchings will join grade 11 today. Congrats to both!
On Thursday, both of the tech classes taught by Mr. Paris will be traveling to downtown New Rochelle to an e-sports venue. Lunch, round-trip transportation, an introduction and lecture, as well as gaming time are all included in the $30.00 fee.
The same day-Thursday, December 6th, two of our four student ambassadors from Guatemala will be traveling with me to WVOX for an 11:00 AM broadcast. Jordan Mallach, Maya Dominguez, Rebecca Sparer, and Hanno Reents will also be involved. WVOX is 1460 on the AM dial.
On Friday, the 7th of December all of Ms. Bubesi’s art classes and Dr. van Sandwyk’s Hidden World class will be bused to the City Museum of New York for two special presentations. Microbes and the Metropolis and Phantom Fashion are the exhibits. All classes will be back to T-D for lunch time.
T-D’s Annual Open House for prospective students for the 2019-20 school year is Sunday, December 9th from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM. Please tell your best friends. It’s a K – 12 viewing.
The December calendar has lots of goodies and treats. Click above to print and/or view. The Gem Class will sparkle on Wednesday, December 19th at The Bruce Museum. The T-D family will shine on Thursday, December 20th at the Larchmont Yacht Club for a Holiday Luncheon at $40.00 per seat.
In closing, thanks to T-D’s Student Council for a glow and lots of warm feelings in the halls of T-D. Ms. Tudisco has everyone purring.
I hope the spirits are reaching all of you. To move forward, you have to give back.
Loyally,
Douglas E. Fleming, Jr.
