Dr. Van Lesberghe’s After School Clubs 2017-18
Dear T-D Family,
Below are three clubs being offered by Mr. Van Lesberghe in 2017-18. All Club calendars will be posted on the T-D website. Please email Mr. Van Lesberghe at benoitvl@juno.com with any questions or to join the club.

FORENSICS CLUB FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL
This year T-D will offer a Forensic Club.  In this club, the participants will learn the basics of forensic science, crime scene investigation (CSI), eye-witness account, physical evidence, finger printing, hair and fibers, blood basics and more.

We will meet in the Life Science Lab on Thursdays from 3:05 to 4:05 pm.  Participants will work in the lab on physical experimentation and receive print-outs for techniques, vocabulary and extended work.

A minimum of 5 participants is required to cover the cost of the classes and the materials needed for the club. If the lab work becomes extensive, we will extend the time of the club appropriately.

We will meet once a week for 10 weeks. Participants can buy 10 meetings @ $30 each (pre-paid = $300)

ON THURSDAYS – 3:05-4:05pm – LIFE SCIENCE LAB
October 5, 12, 19, 26
November 2, 9, 16, 30
December 7, 14

PHOTO CLUB
In this club, the participants will learn how to use a camera, frame, work with light, prepare shoots, edit and upload their photos online.

The recommended camera would be a Digital Single Lens Reflex camera to learn how to use it and control all the digital functions but any camera will work for the basics of photography art.

All are welcomed as long as the participant comes with a desire to become a photographer or improve his/her skills.
