Jordan Acker of White Plains, NY was recently awarded a National Merit Scholarship after competing with 3.5 millions of his peers. Acker produced perfect 800 scores in all three sections of the SAT exam. Jordan was also one of 550 high school students nationwide to be considered for the U.S. Presidential Scholar program.

Acker, who entered T-D as a first grader in 2002, is graduating at 16 years old. Throughout his years at the school (12), Jordan took all accelerated, honors, and AP courses. He took calculus at age 12 and scored a 5 on the AP exam at 13.

Jordan is an avid baseball fan and has been playing ball since age four. He is currently in the senior league and is often called upon to pitch. Jordan’s versatility allows him to play any one of the other eight positions.

Once again this summer Jordan will serve as camp counselor at a local camp near his home.

Jordan’s college choice at this time is undecided. Everyone at T-D sees only great things ahead for him.
