Name Dropping
Dear T-D Family,
As most of you know, T-D will graduate a very large senior class this June. A number of seniors have already heard from various colleges and universities across America.
Our first acceptance was from Cornell University where Greg Livingstone has been accepted as an Engineering Major. While most grads will not hear news until April 1st, a most interesting date I might add, a few other colleges have already sent their acceptances. Locally, Iona, Hofstra, Manhattanville, SUNY New Paltz, SUNY Albany, Manhattan, and NYU have sent out their “yes” letters. UC Irvine, Syracuse, Dickinson, Rensselaer, Rochester Institute of Technology, and Georgia Tech are trying to lure some of our 12th graders.
Jane Yoo ’16 continues to do well at Case Western Reserve in Ohio. She’s a healing arts major.
Trent Shillingford ’15 began his college career at Dartmouth in September 2015. He just visited and wishes to pursue more serious math studies at UPenn or Stamford. With a 3.5 index, I’m confident he is a sure shot.
A few years before Trent graduated, T-D alum Henry Young ’12 went off to Wheaton. He recently returned to T-D with a broad smile. He now has his math degree.
Kassie Ross ’14 is transferring from UCLA to Sarah Lawrence. She is making art her major and is serving as an intern for Mrs. Bubesi in her two art classes twice a week.
Jonathan Romano ’15, who is a tech major, has as close to a 4.0 as one can come. Two years of almost straight A’s will do that.
Jordan Acker ’13 will be working close to home this summer as a counselor at Badger Day Camp. Jordan’s college choice of Haverford was perfect for him. Stop by anytime, Jordan, and say hi.
Finishing up her last year of medical school in May at Columbia University, is Sayrah Rauf ’08. Her brother, Sami ’10 will soon follow in her footsteps.
Thanks to all the T-D Alums for Daring to be Wise.
Sincerely,
Douglas E. Fleming, Jr.
