Apple Orchard Field Trip

If you are willing and able to help us make this trip a reality, please call the school ASAP OR make a donation using the link below. Let’s make this happen for October!

With the gracious help of Ms. Alex Mcle, Thornton-Donovan was able to find an apple orchard close by in Yorktown.  As one family, the entire school would enjoy a day in the field picking apples and finding our way out of a cornfield labyrinth.  The school is looking for a few families to help sponsor the trip by donating to the transportation costs.  Unfortunately, taking three buses for grades K-12  to Yorktown is $3,000.

I know we are being a bit bold with this request, but at T-D, we want all our green apples to turn red. The red would represent the enthusiasm that moves us at the beginning of the year into other apples that will continue to ripen until everything flourishes in the orchard.

With much appreciation,

Virginia Keating-Miller
